We're Back! (Again)
Kickstarter Update #22 for Of Hunger and Lies is now Live!
It’s a small update, but just one to let everyone know that we’re back in the office after a long winter’s nap – well no, that would be nice – after a long winter’s work contract, and we’re Full Speed Ahead on finishing the book!
We just posted the Phase II update to the Westgate Adventures! Module Monster Compilation to anyone that received a copy from our Kickstarters or if you purchased one from any of our online storefronts. All files should now be updated. If you did not get an email regarding the update, please check your JRG Downloads, BackerKit Surveys, or DTRPG Library for an updated version. The current version is 1.2.2.
This Phase II update is about 2/3 of the full Phase II. We had to split the update because there were a lot of layout issues that needed to get fixed and a lot of research on many of the normal animal monsters. Combined with the development of the current Kickstarter project, this left limited time to get everything in, but we wanted to get something out to everyone instead of delaying for several more months. The rest of the Phase II update will be some additional regular monsters including a few new monsters related to ones we’ve already published. These “new” monsters are mostly ones that were edited out of our publications for space reasons but added back in the compilation for you to play with. But for now, enjoy these cool critters!
We are in the last 72 hours of Kickstarter 4! The book is currently funded but we’re trying to get to Stretch Goal #1 which will unlock an entirely new Westgate Adventures! story for all backers!!

In this adventure module, designed for 4-8 characters of levels 2-4:
A pack of voracious ghouls ambushed a group of young adventurers two weeks ago. Early morning’s light drove the ghouls away but left the group with heavy casualties. The party’s ranger tracked the ghouls back to an old cave but dared not go inside. Something far more sinister than just ghouls lurks there and it was too dangerous to go in alone. Knowing that his own party was in no shape to handle so many ghouls at once, the ranger had to seek out new allies to stop these creatures before they begin to wreak havoc on the many small hamlets and homesteads in the area. Â
A plea has gone out to any able-bodied adventurers nearby to help clear out this undead infestation. The party has heard the call and will set out urgently for the cave to end the threat, maybe find some treasure, and hopefully survive the horrors both in and Beneath the Ghoul Lair!
The Campaign is now officially closed!
