Digital Products

Any digital product purchased from a customer account (WooCommerce) will retain download rights to the content indefinitely. This includes any updated versions of products. Download links can be found on your order page after checking out, on your account dashboard, and the system will email you download links after purchase.

Shipping

Upon checkout, there are several shipping options available from USPS and UPS. All shipping rates are listed at actual real-time cost at the time of your checkout. When shipping only books and other printed media, we prefer shipping Media Mail but you may select any other shipping type of choice. If Media Mail is not an option it means that at least one item in your cart is not eligible for Media Mail rate or your shipping location cannot accept Media Mail. If you require a specific shipping method that is not listed (e.g., FedEx or DHL), please email us before purchasing and we can arrange a different shipping method and cost for you.

International Shipping and VAT Charges

We do ship internationally at actual cost. For the most part, we will ship to any country that currently accepts US mail shipments. With our current store set up, we do not currently have an option for VAT payments which means that if you require VAT payments to receive goods, you may need to pay those at pickup.

Taxes

We are a business that operates out of Illinois, USA and must charge taxes on all of our physical goods. Digital products are currently exempt from taxes. Any tax is calculated automatically at checkout by region and may not be accurate until you have input an address because Illinois taxes vary considerably based on the shipping destination. Currently, taxes range from 6.25% to 8% of the value of the goods. Taxes are not charged on shipping or handling fees.

Handling Fee

For ALL shipments, local or global, we ask for a small handling fee to cover incidental shipping and packaging costs. This handling fee is assigned at checkout and varies by item class. For most books and other small items, the fee is $1. For larger books and items or larger orders, the fee ranges from $2 to $3.

Returns

Returns are accepted in these cases:

1) The product arrived damaged
Shipping can sometimes damage books, prints, and other items. If your item arrives damaged, we can either replace the item(s) with new undamaged ones or accept them as returned and issue a refund on the damaged item(s). When replacing an item, we may ask for the damaged item in return. If we do so, we will reimburse for shipping costs back to us.

2) Any other reason
From the date of purchase there is a 30 day return policy on any item. Items must be returned in their original shipped condition. We will not accept returns nor issue refunds on items that have been opened.

Refunds

We will normally issue refunds to the original source of payment. If we cannot, we will reach out to you to determine how best to refund you as quickly as possible. Refunds include the paid value of an item (i.e., if you buy something on sale, you will only receive the sale value in refunds).
