About Johnny Rook Games

Johnny Rook Games was originally incorporated in 2010 by Dominick Pelletier and Nick Rockers. The company was founded to produce various role-playing game products starting with OSRIC system game adventures and settings, but with a vision to produce entirely new games in time. Due to forces far outside of their control, the company closed in just two years and was completely disbanded as an entity in 2014.

During the company’s short first run, Johnny Rook Games produced five excellent game adventures for the OSRIC system, each one being highly reviewed by several unsolicited reviewers and, in their first year, outsold their five top competitors combined. Their adventures’ success was due to a combination of professionalism in aesthetic, unique and compelling storytelling, and the kind support of the old-school gaming community.

In 2022, Johnny Rook Games re-opened its doors as an LLC, again founded by Dom and Nick. In their first years back in publishing, they have successfully re-printed expanded and revised reprints of three of their original game adventures via Kickstarter (so far!), and are once again planning much bigger and better games in the near future.
